Waterford, CT – On May 5th the Modified Racing Series made their way to New London – Waterford Speedbowl for the third race of the season. Cameron would wheel the #13 modified around the 3/8 mile track with ease. Sontag would be in the middle of the pack during practice and would have some back luck in the heat race. After being stuck behind a couple of cars that were much slower in the heat race, it would place him in the 13th starting position for the feature race. The race would get off to a quick start but would soon turn into an ugly mess. The caution would fly and another car was a little late to the party of slowing down. While stopped another car run up and over Cam’s car, tearing off almost the entire left side of the car. Most of the damage was cosmetic. After an extended pit stop the 13 car was on a mission. Fighting back from the rear of the field, Cam would climb his way from 21st to finish 7th. Look for us at our next race at Stafford Motor Speedway on May 18th!
