Waterford, CT – On August 18th, the Modified Racing Series would visit New London-Waterford Speedbowl for their make up date due to rain the week before. It was to be a long drawn out day that would turn into a successful night. Chasing the car throughout practice and wait out a four hour rain delay Cameron and crew would start the feature in the 21st starting position. Since the rain came, the series decided to scratch heat races and use the second practice as group qualifying to determine the starting line up. Sontag knew he had a hole to climb out of during the race. The race would be a quick 100 laps. Making his way through the field and avoiding some wrecks. Cameron would bring home the #13 to a 12th place finish at Waterford. What could have been a rough night, turned into a solid points night the Sontag Motorsports crew!
